RTUK, The Radio and Television Supreme Council has declared that The Turkish DVB-T bidding is cancelled. RTUK says the reason of this action is due to the Ankara 8th court order.
DVB-T2 Turkey tender was divided into three parts; (1) national, (2) regional, (3) local. The announcement says the national part of the tender is now cancelled and the media companies who had commitment for (2) and (3) can now decide to cancel their offers as well.
The decision supports the rumors of delaying and maybe even cancelling DVB-T2 launch of Turkey. Year 2015, which is the offical DVB-T2 launch date is now obviously can not be met. Moreover, the trials in major cities also said to be finished.
It seems DVB-T2 will not coming for Turkey in near future.
